This new year, may you find ways to support your health and to prioritize your joy.
In 2019 I burned myself out to the point of depression. I had tried unsuccessfully for a few years to try to explain to my husband the inequitable and unsustainable nature of my role in the family. He was the primary breadwinner, and I was the primary parent of our 3 children, although I also worked part time outside of the home.
That fall I knew something was deeply not ok with me, with the way I had been living my life.
