Faithful Resistance: A Support Group for the First Full Month of the New Administration
Let's process our grief, reflect deeply, and begin to take faithful steps toward resistance rooted in love and hope.
Many of us are carrying deep grief over the ways Christian nationalism has distorted the values of love, justice, and mercy.
Perhaps you’re grieving how faith has been weaponized for political power or feeling the weight of division among family, friends, or your church. Maybe you’re wondering how to reclaim a faith that stands against systems of oppression and lives out the call to justice.
The start of this administration offers us an opportunity: to process our grief, reflect deeply, and begin to take faithful steps toward resistance rooted in love and hope.
You don’t have to navigate this moment alone.
This February, join a small group of women committed to holding space for lament and hope while discerning how we can respond faithfully to the challenges ahead. Together, we will:
- Share honestly about the heartbreak of watching faith weaponized.
- Process the tension of wanting to disengage from toxic systems while still holding onto hope.
- Connect with others who long for a faith rooted in justice, mercy, and love.
- Encourage one another toward actionable steps to engage in activism and advocacy.
You don't need to live in the United States to join this group! This is a space for honesty, healing, and solidarity—and a call to faithfully resist the forces that perpetuate injustice in our communities and beyond. Jesus wasn’t silent in the face of power and oppression, and neither should we be.
Here’s what’s included:
- A Zoom call to meet and share introductions (Friday, Jan 31 or Saturday, Feb 1, based on group availability).
- A private Marco Polo group for ongoing connection and support.
- Optional opportunities for additional Zoom gatherings if the group desires.
- Offerings of resources for activism, spiritual practice, and self-care.
- The group will wrap up on February 28.
I’ll be available to respond to your Marco Polo messages within 24 hours, offering encouragement, resources, and space to reflect on how faith can hold space for both lament and resistance.
The Details:
- This group will be 5-8 women.
- It’s offered at a sliding scale from $30-50, and free for paid newsletter subscribers (email me if you're a paid sub and interested in joining!)
- Registration closes Wednesday, January 29.
You’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate this season in silence. In the face of division and injustice, let’s choose faithful resistance. Together, we’ll honor our grief, deepen our hope, and take bold steps toward a future shaped by love, justice, and mercy.
